A Code Orange warning of strong wind, which targets 19 counties and the city of Bucharest, came into force on Tuesday morning at 8:00, reports Agerpres.

According to the National Meteorological Administration, in the time interval 8:00 – 18:00, in the counties of Satu Mare, Sălaj, Maramureş, Cluj, Alba, Bistrita-Năsăud, Suceava, Neamţ and Botoșani, and especially in the afternoon in the Capital and in the counties of Teleorman, Giurgiu, Ilfov, Călăraşi, Ialomiţa, Prahova, Buzău, Brăila, but also in the continental area of ​​the counties of Constanţa and Tulcea, the wind will blow at speeds, in general, of 80…85 km/h. At high altitudes in mountainous areas, gusts will exceed 120 km/h.

The rest of the territory is affected, on Tuesday, by a Yellow Code warning of wind and storm intensification, valid between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. The wind will have sustained intensification throughout the country, with speeds of 55…65 km/h, and locally 70…80 km/h. There will be storms in some places. In the high mountain area, gusts will exceed 90…110 km/h.

At altitudes above 1600 m, mixed precipitation will be reported, and in the Apuseni Mountains and in the north of the Eastern Carpathians, amounts of water of 10…20 l/m2 will accumulate.
