Promenada Sibiu joins efforts to support victims of domestic abuse and their families, through the fourth edition of the annual CSR campaign, “Promenada Inimilor”. In period March 29 – April 21, 2024the people of Sibiu can help raise funds for the work of the Association for Freedom and Gender Equality (ALEG), whose main objective is to combat and prevent violence against women.

The “Walk of Hearts” campaign aims to bring hope and confidence in the future to as many people as possible who face different forms of aggression, some of which are physical, and others which, in turn, leave deep traces such as emotional violence , economic or social. Community involvement is crucial in this type of endeavor. Therefore, Promenada Sibiu invites its customers to give joy and show their solidarity through a simple gesture, until April 21.

So, for each shopping voucher of at least 100 lei, scanned in the SPOT application between March 29 and April 21, Promenada Sibiu donates 20 lei to ALEG Also, after each shopping session, Promenada Sibiu visitors have the opportunity to be recognized for their involvement with a gift-symbol of the campaign. Each customer who chose to become a donor in the “Walk of Hearts” campaign will receive a pop-up message, directly in the SPOT application, after scanning the shopping receipt. The message will be shown at the Info Point counter, and based on it, the award will be raised, a heart-shaped donor brooch, a symbol of Promenada Sibiu’s appreciation for all those who decided to give hope.

The “Promenade of Hearts” campaign is one of the traditional initiatives that Promenada Sibiu runs with the aim of uniting the local community around important causes. They are aimed at supporting people from disadvantaged backgrounds, children with various medical conditions, protecting nature, physically and mentally abused women, etc. Every year, a non-profit organization is chosen, which is helped to continue to do good in society, through this effort that takes place for about a month.

ALEG is a non-governmental organization that has been active for 20 years in the field of combating and preventing violence against women and promoting gender equality. With a dedicated team of experienced psychologists and human rights specialists, the NGO has a volunteer community of over 350 members and focuses on activities such as: psychological counseling, information and education campaigns carried out in Sibiu and nationally, advocacy and lobbying activities for changing the legislative framework, organizing training sessions for specialists with duties in combating and managing domestic violence (police officers, social workers, psychologists, etc.).
