Extinguishing fires, providing first aid, responding to road accidents and ensuring fire prevention and extinguishing measures are just a few examples of the 59 of missions carried out by the rescuers from Ialomi, in the last 72 hours (29-31.03.2024). At the level of Ialomita county, 50 of people received the help of SMURD crews.
Among the most relevant missions managed by them, we mention:
During the reference period, three operative crews from the Slobozia Fire Department intervened in a road accident, occurred on DN21 (near the Combine), in which a car (which overturned outside the carriageway) and three people ( 2 adults and one minor).
A water and foam extinguishing vehicle, an extrication vehicle and a SMURD crew were urgently assigned. A type C ambulance of SAJ – Ialomita also acted in their support. Following the collision, all three conscious and cooperative persons were medically assisted at the scene, later two of the victims (the minor and his mother) were transported to the Slobozia County Emergency Hospital, for further investigations.
Also, on 31.03.2024, at around 17:20, a fire crew, an extrication vehicle and a SMURD ambulance from the Slobozia Fire Department intervened to manage an emergency situation caused by a road accident , within the radius of the municipality of Slobozia, in which a car and a motorcycle were involved. A type C ambulance of SAJ-Ialomita also acted in their support. As a result of the impact, there were two victims, conscious and cooperative, who were given first aid at the place of request, later being transported to the Slobozia County Emergency Hospital.
The rescuers from Ialomi were requested to intervene to ensure fire prevention and extinguishing measures during a handball match, in the municipality of Slobozia, a football match in the town of Gheorghe Doja, respectively the National Endurance Championship 2024, in the town of Adâncata.
In the last 72 hours, the firefighters acted to locate and extinguish the 3 fires registered at the county level.
From the total of those 3 fires that occurred during the mentioned period, 2 interventions were registered for uncontrolled burning (dry vegetation), approximately 1 hectare of land being affected. The probable cause of the fires, in both situations, was determined to be the intentional use of the ignition source.
Two operative crews from the Fire Department intervened on Saturday, at around 12:30, to extinguish a fire at a citizen’s apartment in the municipality of Slobozia. When the intervention forces arrived, the fire manifested itself with flames in the bedroom of the home. As a result of the event, items of furniture, clothing and household appliances burned. The probable cause of the fire was determined to be open fire in confined spaces (a lit candle left unattended).
In the future, the military firefighters remain mobilized, 24 hours a day, for the operative management of emergency situations and the provision of specialized medical first aid to persons in difficulty.
