The cities of Sibiu, Brașov and Arad are the best ranked cities in Romania, in terms of living standards, according to the TRAI index which names and which are the best rated neighborhoods.

The TRAI index also names the best rated neighborhoods in the country

The TRAI index also indicates which are the best rated neighborhoods: “Băncilor” from Arad, “Valea Aurie” and “Trei Stejari” from Sibiu. The data is obtained from Vocea Cartierelor, the second stage of the development of the TRAI index, carried out by Storia – the real estate classifieds platform launched by OLX, with the aim of providing all those who are looking for a home, the most relevant opinions about cities and neighborhoods in which they are going to live. The index is in its second stage of development, in which, under the concept of “Vocea Cartierelor”, it offers Romanians accessing the trai.storia.ro platform a subjective evaluation of popular neighborhoods and cities in Romania, based on the opinions obtained from the residents from each selected area.

The platform offers users new features that allow them to receive personalized data, filter data based on the evaluation criteria they are most interested in, and even compare neighborhoods to see which ones score best on their chosen criteria. The platform includes both objective data, presented in the TRAI section, which measures a number of key factors such as traffic, landmarks, air and real estate prices, as well as subjective data, presented in the “Voice of the Neighborhoods” section and obtained from residents of the evaluated areas.

The score obtained by each neighborhood is made up of the average of the points obtained for each of the 13 evaluation criteria, respectively:

• Safety – the level of safety felt by residents in the neighborhood;

• Cleanliness – the level of cleanliness on the streets of the neighborhood and in its main places;

• Parking lots – the level of ease with which free parking spaces can be found;

• Public transport – the ease of moving from one point to another, with public transport;

• Bicycle paths – the frequency of existing bicycle paths in the neighborhood;

• Quietness – the level of quietness in the neighborhood;

• Running water – the higher the score, the more there are no worries about water supply;

• Sanitation – local data related to sanitation systems in neighborhoods;

• Gas – the higher the score, the lower the probability of experiencing problems with the gas system;

• Sewage – a high score means a functional sewage system;

• Heating – the higher the score, the better the heating system works;

• Degree of satisfaction – the higher the score, the greater the degree of satisfaction;

• General cost of living – the higher the score, the more affordable going to the market or restaurant.

The TRAI platform is constantly updated, so all Romanians who want to evaluate their neighborhoods can fill in the questionnaire found on trai.storia.ro/chestionar/. In this way, the TRAI index will be updated both with new data about neighborhoods and cities already present on the platform, but also with data related to neighborhoods or cities that are not yet on the platform, after the minimum number of responses per area has been accumulated .
