More than 2500 participants in anti-drug activities – News from Mures, News Targu Mures

Specialists of the Mureș Drug Prevention, Evaluation and Counseling Center (CPECA) within the National Anti-Drug Agency carried out activities to prevent drug use in school and family, from which more than 2500 people benefited. The actions took place between March 18 and 29, 2024.

In the anti-drug prevention campaigns “Drug use affects us all” and “High or Alive”, students received information, adapted for each age group, about the effects and risks of drug use.

At the same time, 110 teaching staff, both in urban and rural areas, benefited from information in the field of preventing drug use, in order to facilitate the recognition of signs of drug use among students.

Also, at the level of Mureș county, the project dedicated to the family environment – “Family – partner in the fight against drugs” was implemented, during which 145 parents were informed about the effects of psychoactive substances, the risk and protection factors in the field of reducing the demand for drugs, the signs of drug use, being strengthened the emotional bonds between family members (parent-child, child-child).

The CPECA Mureș team reminds that the prevention of drug use is a priority of the National Anti-Drug Agency, and the prevention programs, projects and interventions aim to inform, educate and raise awareness of the general population, schools and vulnerable groups, regarding the effects of the use of psychoactive substances , it is stated in a press release.
