A 68-year-old man from Olt was detained by the law enforcement officers for killing his wife. The man hit her on the head with a stick and then stabbed her in the chest several times. Everything happened on Sunday evening, in the home of the two in Teslui commune.
“A complex research team from the Olt Criminal Investigation Service and the Olt Forensic Service went to the scene to carry out the on-site investigation under the coordination of the case prosecutor, from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Olt Court.
From the first checks, the police established the fact that, on the evening of March 31, 2024, a 68-year-old man, against the background of alcohol consumption and an intra-family conflict, would have hit his wife several times with a piece of wood in the head area and allegedly stabbed her with a sharp-cutting object in the thoraco-pectoral area”said the Olt policemen from IPJ Olt.
The woman died, and her lifeless body was transported to the Slatina Emergency County Hospital, in order to carry out the necropsy. Everything would have started from a spontaneous conflict that broke out between the two, and the man was drunk. Now he has been detained for 24 hours.
“Following the administered evidence, the case prosecutor, from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Olt Court, ordered the measure of detention for 24 hours against the 68-year-old man, under the aspect of committing the crime of murder.
The man was placed in the Detention and Preventive Arrest Center of the Olt County Police Inspectorate, to be presented to the Olt Court, with legal proposals, during the day of April 1, 2024″say the law enforcement officers.
