Tori Spelling, the truth about the decision to move into a trailer with her five children. Her 15-year-old daughter’s colleagues thought she was homeless: ‘She was ashamed’

Tori Spelling has revealed her family never lived in a caravan as a permanent home amid her money problems, insisting she only rented it for a ‘summer holiday’. However, the actress admitted that her daughter went through a terrible time at school after her classmates thought she was homeless.

In the first episode of her ‘Misspelling’ podcast, the ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ star told how her 15-year-old daughter Stella’s co-workers thought her family was ‘homeless’ because they were seen in various occasions living in a caravan.

“My daughter told me, ‘People are already talking about us at school. They know you. I am reading the news’. She told me that someone from her school asked her if she was parking the trailer on the school grounds and if that was her home. They thought we were a homeless family”Tory Spelling revealed.

The 50-year-old actress, who is a mother of five, explained that she simply rented the caravan, “like any other family”, and they traveled during the summer.

“He was ashamed”the actress added of Stella.

Also in the episode, Spelling called her ex-husband, Dean McDermott, to inform him that she had filed for divorce. Although the actress did not reveal McDermott’s side of the call, the pair, who split nine months ago, appeared to be arguing over who should file for divorce first.

“You’ve basically gone public with the breakup on the Daily Mail and said everything you’ve done to me over the years, so I think it makes perfect sense that you should file it first”she added, referring to McDermott’s last interview.

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott, who have five children together, Stella, 15, Liam, 17, Hattie, 12, Finn, 11, and Beau, for seven years, they split in June 2023. Shortly after, Spelling moved into various rental houses and cheap motels before temporarily settling into a trailer for the summer.

Now, the family lives in a luxurious five-bedroom, three-bathroom home in the San Fernando Valley, according to the Daily Mail. While McDermott appears to have moved in with his new girlfriend Lily Calo in early 2024.
