Shortly after the surprise occurred on 23 August Street, in Slanic, the Prahova Prefecture presented several problems, which would have been generated by the hostility of the Prahova County Council, the management said. For their part, the heads of the county reacted online to the accusations, stating that everything is played in political terms. Emil Draganescu, the prefect of the county, says to avoid bringing even more lams, not wanting it to be understood that there would be an electoral fight in the middle. Even so, each leader of the two institutions defends himself and says that none of them had the intention of hindering the start of studies and the remedying of the situation at Slanic.
Among the works carried out on the winding street in Slanic, and perhaps the most contested, were related to the introduction of pipelines for a future gas network, which was circulated as a possible cause of the formation of the crater.
Both the prefect of Prahova and the vice-president CJ Prahova requested that each of the two institutions not politicize the subject, and channelize themselves on support and solutions in the case of the Slanic surprise. Even when accusations are brought about the lack of financial support, the two state that they have achieved everything they could through the skills they have so that the evacuated people, as well as the city hall, are supported.
