The collection rate of the sanitation fee in Vaslui county: in the urban area 96%, and in the rural area 86%

At the level of Vaslui county, the sanitation service provided by licensed operators is 100%, and the degree of contracting the sanitation service by the population is considered to be 100%.

However, it was not possible to accurately quantify the degree of contracting and the degree of average collection of established taxes/tariffs, separately for urban and rural areas. In addition to the lack of credible data, only 71 UATs reported that data.. In the year 2022.

According to the Association for Intercommunity Development, in the urban environment the degree of collection of the sanitation tax is 96%, and in the rural environment only 86%.

Starting from January 1, 2024, the special sanitation fee for household users in the municipality of Vaslui is 13 lei/person/month.

In the case of non-domestic users, who have between 0 and 9 employees inclusive, starting from the same date (January 1, 2024), the special sanitation fee is calculated taking into account a quantity of 65 kg of waste/employee/month, respectively the amount tax of 637 lei/ton.

The “Integrated Solid Waste Management System in Vaslui County” project benefited from funding of approximately 40 million euros, through the Environmental Sectoral Operational Program 2007-2013. At the end of the European budget exercise 2007-2013, the unfinished works within the project and the payments for the investment objectives achieved, they were phased on the Large Infrastructure Operational Program 2014-2020. Unfinished works and phased payments on POIM 2014-2020 amounted to 23,818,734 lei. At this date, the project is 100% completed.

At the Vaslui county level, 5 waste collection areas were established: Negrești, Vaslui, Bârlad, Huși, Roșiești. In the municipality of Vaslui, the collection and transport activity is carried out on the basis of the contract concluded between ADIV and SC Financiar Urban SRL, for a duration of 8 years.
