Sandra Bullock wants to work again with her former “Speed” co-star Keanu Reeves. During an appearance on the 50 MPH podcast, the 59-year-old “Miss Congeniality” star admitted that she is so looking forward to reuniting with Reeves on set, writes the Daily Mail.
“Before I die, before I leave this planet, I think Keanu and I need to shoot something together again”she confessed.
Sandra Bullock made these statements as the actor said he was interested in appearing in another Speed movie.
Of a possible third film, Sandra said with a laugh: “Are we in wheelchairs or canes? Maybe, who knows?”.
The Oscar-winning actress first appeared on screen with Reeves in the 1994 action blockbuster Speed, then in the 2006 romantic drama The Lake House.

Keanu Reeves declined to return for 1997’s Speed 2: Cruise Control, in which Bullock eventually starred opposite Jason Patric. It was a box office failure, with many critics calling it one of the worst sequels of all time.

At the time, Reeves said no because of the script, but is now open to teaming up with Bullock again for a third film in the franchise. The 59-year-old actor told the 50 MPH podcast: “I mean, we’d take the shot.” The “Matrix” star talked about a calling, something that draws him to another feature film in the franchise, and that he is desperate to work with Sandra again.
Reeves previously admitted that he turned down the chance to reprise his role as LAPD officer Jack Traven in Speed 2. On The Graham Norton Show in 2021, he said: “At the time, I didn’t respond to the script. I really wanted to work with Sandra Bullock, I loved playing Jack Traven and I loved Speed, but on the ocean?”
He added: “I had nothing against the actors involved, but at the time I felt it just wasn’t right, it wasn’t right for me.”
