A company in Italy has decided to offer its employees a bonus of 700 euros for each new baby, a butler to take care of the household chores, and a 150 euro per month salary increase, among other benefits .

In a world where Italy’s demographics are facing significant challenges, an entrepreneur from Rome, Mauro Atturo, 48 years old, founder and leader of the company Problem Solving, decided to take an innovative approach to support motherhood and encourage birth, writes the Rotalian.

The company specializing in call center services is distinguished by friendly policies towards its employees, 90% of whom are women.

Mauro Atturo started his career working in call centers before setting up his own business in 2009. Inspired by iconic figures such as Adriano Olivetti and Brunello Cucinelli, he believes that motherhood should not be seen as a risk to the company, but rather as a valuable resource.

In this spirit, Problem Solving introduced a “baby bonus” of 700 euros for each newborn and a supplement of 150 euros to the mother’s monthly salary for the first year of the child’s life.

Butler, breakfast pass and health insurance, among other benefits

This initiative, launched in 2019, just before the COVID-19 pandemic, had a positive impact on the birth rate among the company’s employees, with the number of births increasing significantly after the introduction of the bonus.

In addition to the financial support, Atturo has implemented other benefits for employees, including a weekly “butler” who helps female employees with tasks such as paying bills, a €50 monthly breakfast pass that can be used in two bars near the company, a extended health policy and a prevention program called “we care”.

Furthermore, the company offers access to Orto 2.0, a leased plot in Tor Tre Teste, cultivated without pesticides, where employees receive a monthly delivery of fresh vegetables.

In the future, Atturo aims to expand the welfare offer, focusing on supporting employees facing psychological frailties, an increasingly widespread problem in society.
