Autostrada Soarelui, on the Bucharest – Constanța route, is one of the busiest in the country, especially on weekends.

So, any accident can create a huge inconvenience for the drivers. This also happened this time, when a truck overturned on the road and blocked traffic.

The incident took place a short time ago, in the area of ​​Fundulea. A TIR registered in Ukraine overturned on the road and blocked both directions of traffic.

The driver lost control of the steering wheel while driving towards the coast. Before it capsized, it ran into a meridian parapet.

Several police officers arrived at the scene. Fortunately, the people involved in the accident were not injured. There were, however, fuel leaks on the road. The law enforcement officers are carrying out actions to release the two blocked road directions.

“On the A2 Bucharest-Constanța highway, at kilometer 32+300 meters, in the direction towards the coast, in the area of ​​the town of Fundulea, Călăraşi county, a road train registered in Ukraine hit the median parapet and overturned on the road.

The incident congested traffic

Sunday’s incident congested traffic on Autostrada Soarelui, being a day when it is heavily populated by cars.

Drivers had to wait until the truck was removed from the road, and this required enough time to create discomfort.

“Road traffic is stopped in both directions, moving only in the emergency lane. Normal traffic is expected to resume in 45-60 minutes”the InfoTraffic Center also transmitted.
