Mihail Dojană, the coordinator of the AUR Sector 1 organization, announced that he is leaving the extremist party. He is the second head of AUR Bucharest to leave the party led by George Simion after Valentin Florea, who was announced in March as a candidate for the Mayor of Sector 6.

“Today I ended my political “adventure” in AUR. During all this time, we managed to gather a beautiful and united team at Sector 1, in a party that can hardly be called a political party, where people do not matter, where the political interests of the party do not come first, but only the momentary interests of some people you can count on the fingers of one hand”, wrote Dojană on a social network.

He refused to give details about the practical reasons for the breakup, saying that “for the sake of elegance, I will not elaborate here nor will I give details because it would mean descending to a level that does not characterize me, but which is a way of constant thing in this party”.

Dojană was head of the Environmental Fund Administration with the rank of state secretary and ministerial adviser.

He was with the AUR candidate for Bucharest City Hall, Mihai Enache, in several party actions.

The defections from the party are taking place against the background of the disputes related to the candidacies in the local elections. In parallel, the AUR is less and less present at the news televisions whose agenda is controlled by PSD and PNL through non-transparent contracts from public funds. Until the beginning of this year, AUR was a constant presence on television controlled by media moguls.
