CFR Cluj, which has not given up the fight for a place in the Conference League, and Sepsi, with little chance of reaching Europe, meet in one of the most interesting games of the 7th stage of the play-off from the Super League.

CFR Cluj occupies the 4th place, with 34 points, the same as the University of Craiova, which is in 3rd place (the last position that offers the possibility of access to the Conference League) and which it defeated in the previous stage, even in Bănie, score 1-0, thus reaching two wins, a draw and three defeats recorded in this play-off.

The team coached after the resignation of Adrian Mutu by the couple Francisc Dican – Ovidiu Hoban lost both matches played at home in the play-off, 1-3 with Craiova University and 0-1 with FCSB (in the regular season it ticked 10 successes, four draws and a failure at home), and its top scorer is Philip Otele, with 14 successes in the SuperLiga.

It should be mentioned that the success in Oltenia was only the second of the “railwaymen” in the last seven official games played in the SuperLiga and in the Romanian Cup (it was eliminated in the quarter-finals by Corvinul, a team from League 2, score 0-4 in Hunedoara) .

Sepsi is in 6th place, last, almost without a chance in the European cups, and comes after one win, three draws and two defeats recorded in the play-off, and in the last round it drew at home with FCSB, score 2-2 .

In the games played away in this play-off, the team coached by Bernd Storck lost and won once, 1-2 with FCSB and 1-0 with Rapid (in the regular season they ticked five successes, two draws and eight failures on foreign grounds), and its best scorer in the championship is Marius Ştefănescu, author of 13 goals.

Attention, Sepsi suffered only two defeats in the last ten SuperLiga games!

The two teams shared their victories in the regular season, each managing to win at home, CFR in the round with 3-0 (Tachtsidis 41p, Camora 70, Bîrligea 81), and Sepsi in the return with 2-1 (Kallaku 70, Damaşcan 85 / Tachtsidis 31), to draw in the play-off at Sf. Gheorghe, score 1-1 (Ştefănescu 9 / Boben 21).

Superbet offers odds of 1.45 for prediction 1: victory for the hosts in the match CFR Cluj – Sepsi.
