“Informed young people don’t follow TikTok, where AUR is the most active in cursing”

The survey was debated on Antena 3 CNN.

According to the results of the sociological research, the AUR party led by George Simion obtains the highest score in the voting intentions of young people between the ages of 18 and 35.

At the election for the Parliament, the Alliance for the Union of Romanians is credited with a voting intention of 16% in the ranks of this segment of the electorate.

USR and PNL follow with equal percentages, of 14%.

PSD is placed behind them, with 12%, and the SOS Romania party, led by Diana Șoșoacă, with 5%.

In this survey carried out by IRES in March, AUR increases to 23% voting intention, if the reporting base consists only of young people who say they will certainly show up at the polls.

Deputy AUR: “Vote for the change that hasn’t come in the last 35 years”

“I go a lot in the diaspora and there I meet a lot of young people. Indeed, it seems that this year they are much more determined to participate in the vote, which is a good thing. Know that everywhere I go, I urge them to participate in the vote, because I meet Romanians from the entire diaspora, not just members of the AUR party. It is their freedom.

That’s what I’m doing now: “Don’t lie on your back looking at the polls, go out and vote for the change you want and that hasn’t come in the last 35 years.”

We must vote, not those on social assistance. And you should know that this has been seen with regard to us, those from AUR, since 2020, when those in this age segment, 18-35 years old, voted in large numbers with AUR. That says something about the desire of those young people to whom the future of the country belongs”, said AUR deputy Romeo Andrușceac on Antena 3 CNN.

The IRES survey also shows that, when it comes to events of interest to society in Romania, 42% of young people get information from social networks: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok. Only then come the online press and TV and the sources from the entourage and family, represented by colleagues, friends and parents.

“I realize that it is a survey among young people and, first of all, of those who use a lot of social networks, because there, indeed, AUR is the most active party, in the sense that they curse almost everything that happens and it doesn’t come with any solutions. This is how they understand politics: aggressive but without solutions. I think informed young people are the ones who have access to more sources of information, not (just) TikTok.

Informed young people know very well that the Social Democratic Party, for example, made the First House program for them.
