Today, in Târgu Jiu, a new political formation was launched: Pthe Artid Alliance of Olten. The party has its headquarters in Târgu Jiu and has three founding members: Roxana Stoian – interim president, with over 20 years of experience in journalism and entrepreneurship, Cristiana Guran – human resources specialist and Daniel Vasile Turea, in turn with an experience of two decades in different units of the Oltenia Energy Complex.
“I made the decision to lay the foundations of a political project last summer, after I noticed that more than half of my acquaintances with whom I discussed political topics told me that they do not go to vote, because they have no one to vote with. The establishment of the party took longer than we had estimated and the local elections were moved four months earlier, so we find ourselves in the position of announcing this project only a few weeks before the June 9 elections. But giving up or resigning does not characterize us, we enter the electoral battle and wait alongside us for brave and visionary people, who have solutions to the problems we all complain about and with whom we can build a political project. Even if 2024 will be more of a training, it is a good year to start this project”, said Roxana Stoian, interim founding president.
The permanent symbol of the party consists of the letter O from Oltenia, over which is placed the sword of Tudor Vladimirescu, the Oltean symbol of the fight for freedom and justicea leader which succeeded in mobilizing and inspiring the masses to fight against oppression and claim their fundamental rights and freedoms.
“The party is called Alianța Oltenilor because here, in Oltenia, we are starting to build this project. If one day it becomes a national party, we can become an alliance of all Romanians. We know it’s a long and hard road, because the disappointment that has engulfed society is chronic and difficult to deal with. We are optimistic, confident and know that we can contribute to positive change and the creation of a better society”, announced the leadership of the new political formation.
