Shocking death in Mehedinti. A 34-year-old man decided to end his life in a horrifying way: he tied himself to the parapets on the side of the road with a strap, which he hung on the car, after taking the vehicle out of gear . The man immediately suffocated and died. Apparently this was a gambling addict and heavily in debt.

Several rescue crews went to the scene, but everything was in vain. From the first information, the 34-year-old was a gambling addict. A list of several people to whom he owed debts was reportedly found in the car. The amounts he owed were also noted on the sheet.

“On April 2nd, at 00:10, the Police of the city of Strehaia was informed by a man from the municipality of Motru, county of Gorj, regarding the fact that, near the radio broadcasting relay in the locality of Grozești, a person was allegedly hanged next to a car. On the spot, the Streha policemen went and, from the checks carried out, determined that a 34-year-old man from Gorj county had hanged himself with a rope. After examining the lifeless body, no traces of violence, being transported to the Forensic Medicine Service in order to carry out the necropsy and establish the causes of death. Investigations are continuing under the aspect of committing the crime of manslaughter,” IPJ Mehedinți said.

Up to this moment there is no suspicion of murder, the file being opened as is done in such cases. All the evidence, however, points to the suicide option.
