Serious accident with four cars involved, on Decebal Street in Cluj-Napoca.
The road accident took place on Wednesday morning, on Decebal street, and one of the cars ran into a pole.
No casualties were recorded
“Firefighters from Detachment 1 Cluj-Napoca intervened this morning at a road accident on Decebal Street.
The operative crews found 4 damaged cars at the scene, one of which crashed into a pole.
Fortunately, there were no incarcerated victims and no people requiring medical attention.
A special vehicle with extrication mode and a SAJ ambulance took part in the mission”, informed ISU Cluj.
The driver was drunk
On April 3 this year, around 4:05 a.m., the police officers of the Cluj-Napoca Road Bureau were alerted to a traffic incident on Decebal street.
From the preliminary investigations, it was found that a driver practicing alternative transport, aged 23, from Mureș county, was traveling with a car on Decebal street towards Căii ferate street, traveling in the opposite direction, at which point he allegedly lost control on the direction of travel, colliding with a parked car.
The parked car was later projected into a pole and two other parked cars.
No casualties were recorded as a result of the road accident.
The 23-year-old driver was tested by the police with the breathalyzer device, showing a concentration of 0.54 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air.
Testing with the drugtest device indicated a negative result. The young man was taken to a medical facility where his biological samples were collected.
In the case, investigations were started in terms of committing the crime of driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
