According to the information provided by the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU) Argeș, the accident occurred following the collision of two cars, resulting in six injured people, two of whom remained incarcerated.

One of the victims of the accident, a 44-year-old man, was found unconscious at the impact site, but with vital functions. Emergency crews administered first aid and transported him to the hospital for further investigation. Another victim, a 29-year-old woman, was pulled out conscious and handed over to the crew of the County Ambulance Service (SAJ) for medical care.

Other victims include a 37-year-old woman who suffered injuries to her left upper limb and chest pains, as well as three passengers in the first car, aged between 37 and 47, who were taken to hospital for health care.

Traffic on DN 65 was blocked during the intervention of emergency crews, and the authorities urged drivers to opt for alternative routes to avoid blockages.

From the first investigations carried out by the traffic police, it turned out that a 44-year-old man from Slatina, Olt county, drove in the opposite direction, colliding with the car driven by a 29-year-old woman from Bucharest.

According to IPJ Argeș, as a result of the impact, the 44-year-old driver suffered serious bodily injuries, and for him the breathalyzer test could not be performed, as it was necessary to collect biological blood samples to determine the alcohol level. The driver had a negative result in the breathalyzer test.

In this context, a criminal case was opened for bodily injury due to negligence, and investigations are underway to establish all the circumstances of the accident.

The authorities recommend all road users to follow traffic rules and adopt preventive behavior to avoid such serious incidents in the future.
