President Klaus Iohannis signed an important decree on Tuesday, April 2. All landowners in Romania must know.
The land fund law, amended
President Klaus Iohannis signed a decree by which a paragraph of the Land Fund Law will be amended.
The Presidential Administration informs that it is a change regarding the chapter “Temporary or definitive use of land for purposes other than agricultural and forestry production”.
Therefore, the new rule also involves the use of agricultural land located outside urban areas for projects of public interest, financed from government or local funds, with beneficiaries such as public administration authorities and institutions, through the Regional Urban Plan/General Urban Plan or in the stage of approval for these plans involving agricultural land located outside urban areas.
What decrees did Klaus Iohannis sign on Tuesday, April 2?
The Presidential Administration also revealed that the President of Romania signed several decrees on April 2.
These are:
- Decree on the promulgation of the Law to amend art. 921 para. (2) lit. a) from the Land Fund Law no. 18/1991 (PL-x 759/11.12.2023)
- Decree on the promulgation of the Law for the amendment and completion of Law no. 227/2015 on the Fiscal Code (PL-x 795/18.12.2023)
Also, among the decrees signed on Tuesday were some regarding the release from office of several judges, as well as a prosecutor.

- Decree regarding the release from the position of judge of Mrs. Sapariuc Irinel at the Botoșani Court. Currently, she is assigned as a judge supervising the deprivation of liberty at the Botoșani Penitentiary and at the detention and pretrial detention centers in Suceava and Botoșani counties – retirement
- Decree regarding the release from the position of judge of Mrs. Dudu Daniela Anica, judge with a professional degree of the Court of Appeal, vice-president of the Bucharest Court – retirement
- Decree regarding the release from the position of judge of Mrs. Pușchin Corina, judge with a professional degree of the Court of Appeal at the Bucharest Court, currently seconded to the Superior Council of the Magistracy – retirement
- Decree regarding the release from the position of judge of Mr. Nica Cristian-Felix. He is a judge with a professional degree from the Court of Appeal of Timișoara – retired
- Decree regarding the release from the position of prosecutor of Mr. Stoina Eugen, prosecutor at the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Sibiu Court. He has the professional degree corresponding to the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice – retirement
