AUR party, unsuccessful preparations for the European Parliament

--

The AUR party is intensively preparing for the European Parliament elections, but without much success.

The AUR party tried to reach the people of Constanta through a stand-up comedy show

In order to gather as many people as possible at the headquarters of the AUR branch in Constanța, the party thought of organizing a stand-up comedy show with free entry, free snacks and juices. Although it was heavily promoted on social networks and even by handing out flyers, the results left much to be desired.

According to the local publication Info Sud-Est, at the event promoted with trumpets and trumpets, the extremist AUR party managed to gather 40 people in a hall with 120 seats.

AUR is not very successful in Constanța

In the hall prepared with 120 chairs, where the “free snacks and juices” were placed next to the signature lists for MEPs, the participants of the “entertainment” show first listened to three political speeches, which were not announced in the program and they were urged several times to support the party.

The event, promoted on Facebook as a stand-up show by comedian Paul Mirea, a former participant in iUmor, took place in the headquarters of the extremist party in Dacia and was announced to include “free snacks and drinks while you enjoy yourself at show”. Participation was conditional on registration on the AUR mobile application. The meeting also included calls for support for the party’s election campaigns and politically charged speeches from its representatives, addressed especially to young people between the ages of 16 and 35.

A bit of comedy and plenty of political speeches

During the event, Ovidiu Cupșa, the AUR candidate for Constanța City Hall, gave a speech that generated controversy, given his previous statements regarding depression. The table with free snacks and drinks, located at the entrance, remained almost untouched during the entire evening, and at the end, most of the participants had left the hall, without signing the lists of support for AUR in the European parliamentary elections.

The event began with a series of accusations against the other parties and the media. Neither the accusations nor the party’s support calls generated emotion in the public, which was reduced to short applause sessions between speeches.

More than half of the spectators left the hall half an hour before the end of the event, without signing the lists of supporters for AUR in the European Parliament elections, which were placed on the same table as the free snacks.

“I have 30 years of schooling, two faculties, a doctorate, I am a university professor and the moment I started the electoral campaign, everything was erased. I have become stupid, uneducated, illiterate, a bully of depressives”, said Ovidiu Cupșa, the candidate of the extremist AUR party for the Constanța City Hall, according to the previously mentioned source.

A week ago, the AUR candidate criticized, in a live on Facebook, a project approved by the Constanța Local Council, which aimed to settle a number of therapy sessions for residents of Constanța who suffer from depression.
