A road event that could have much more serious consequences occurred on the afternoon of Monday, April 1, 2024, around 4:00 p.m., on a street in the municipality of Slatina. While driving the car on Primaverii street, according to some sources, a driver allegedly lost control of the direction of travel due to excessive speed and violently entered two cars that were legally parked on the roadway, following the collision of two of the three vehicles involved being seriously damaged.

One was projected into a tree on the sidewalk, and part of the wheels of two of the cars broke off. Fortunately, there were no human casualties and only material damage, and the guilty driver was tested with the alcohol test device, the result being negative.

The police officers from the Slatina Road Office went to the scene to investigate and establish exactly the circumstances in which the traffic accident occurred, but also in order to order legal measures.

Following the checks carried out at the scene of the event, the driver was left a pedestrian, his driver’s license being withheld for a period of 60 days, and he was also fined by the police with 990 lei for aggressive driving and causing a collision.
