During this evening, the military firefighters were requested to intervene in Albești commune, following a call received via 112, which announced the occurrence of a railway accident near the Zlătunoaia bus stop, in which the Dorohoi – Iași train and a car were involved.

Firefighters from the Trușești Intervention Guard and two ambulances from the Botoşani County Ambulance Service rushed to the scene.

There were three people in the car, and following the on-site evaluation, two of them were taken to be transported to the hospital (a 16-year-old girl and a 19-year-old girl).

Due to the injuries suffered, the SMURD Mobile Intensive Care team was requested to meet the 19-year-old young woman. The driver, a 23-year-old man, refused transport to the hospital.

After the assessment of the 47 people on the train (45 passengers, 1 driver and the train master), it was found that none of them suffered as a result of the impact.

Firefighters also intervened to prevent the danger of a fire breaking out.
