Five people, including three minors aged 2, 5 and 7, were injured on Saturday in a road accident on Domnească street in Galati municipality, the police opened a criminal case for bodily injury due to negligence.

According to the Galati County Police Inspectorate (IPJ), at 4:11 p.m., the policemen of the Galati Road Bureau were alerted by calling 112 regarding the occurrence of a road event, on Domnească street in the municipality, which resulted in the injury of five people.

“From the first investigations, they determined that a car, driven by a 25-year-old woman from Galati, while traveling on Fraternătății Street, from Nicolae Bălcescu Street to Alexandru Ioan Cuza Street, when it arrived in intersection with Domnească Street, allegedly collided with a car driven by a 21-year-old man from Galati, who was traveling from Brăilei Street to Lahovari Street. As a result of the impact, both cars were projected onto sidewalk, the car driven by the woman overturned. The two drivers and three minors (2 passengers in the car driven by the woman and one who was in the car driven by the man) were slightly injured. One of the minors was taken by the medical crew came to the scene and was transported to the County Emergency Clinical Hospital ‘Sfântul Apostol Andrei’ Galaţi, in order to receive medical care”, the IPJ Galaţi representatives sent.

Both drivers were tested with the breathalyzer, the results being negative.
