“On June 13, 2023, the policemen of the Cluj Organized Crime Brigade, together with the prosecutors of DIICOT – Cluj Territorial Service, implemented 13 home search warrants, in the cities of Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca and in Ilfov county, in a case in which investigations are being carried out under the aspect of committing the crimes of constituting an organized criminal group, human trafficking and public instigation”, announces the IGPR.
The investigators claim that, during the year 2021, 3 people would have constituted an organized criminal group, in order to commit the crime of human trafficking.

“The suspects would have created a system through which they would have recruited several injured persons, whom they would have determined, including through acts of violence, to produce materials with explicit sexual content for an online platform dedicated to adults and/or to produces pornographic material through video chat, the material benefits thus obtained being almost entirely appropriated by the suspected persons. The injured persons would have been recruited by misleading about the intention to establish a marriage/cohabitation relationship and the existence of feelings of love (the loverboy method)”, the IGPR states.
Among those targeted in this case is Vlad Obu, a close relative of the Tate brothers, who is trying to copy them and who was heard as a witness in their case. He would have been caught and picked up in traffic.
In January, demolitions took place at several of his residences.
Who is Vlad Obu, close to the Tate brothers
On the morning of June 13, 2023, Vlad Obu was handcuffed by masked men in traffic, after numerous searches in Bucharest. The young man was also a witness when the Tate brothers were accused and arrested for the same acts.
At the time, he said he had nothing to do with the allegations against the Tate brothers and said they were just friends. “I am being heard as a witness, for now. I had no business connections with the Tate brothers. I have a different kind of public speech. It has no connection with the Tate brothers,” declared Vlad Obu in January, on Antena Stars.
Vlad Obu has a video chat studio and is a martial arts fighter. According to Libertatea, his full name is Vlad Cristian Obuzic and he is 30 years old.
He became known through scandals. He apparently recorded himself asking women to kill their children and throwing objects from the balcony.

Later, the man went viral online with his podcast, where he tackles controversial topics alongside the women and men around him.
Also on social media, Vlad Obu promotes his money-making academy. For $500, he promises to teach young people “the school of life” and how to treat a woman.
“I am a businessman. I have various projects, for example right now I’m working on a project where I give advice to people from abroad who want to make their podcasts. On this entertainment side. I don’t do video chat. These things were said because a girl I was with works in this industry, but not for me”, Vlad Obu also declared for Antena Stars.
