Krasimir Kamenov, accused of having orchestrated the attack against the Prosecutor General of Bulgaria, was murdered with his family

Bulgarian businessman and underworld Krasimir Kamenov is, along with Romanian Ovidiu Semenescu, one of those accused of having orchestrated the assassination of Bulgaria’s general prosecutor, Ivan Ghesev, with a bomb that was supposed to blow up his car. Furthermore, Krasimir Kamenov was also charged by the Prosecutor’s Office of the City of Sofia, Bulgaria, with the assassination of Lyubomir Ivanov.

Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev commented on the news of the killing of Krasimir Kamenov saying that he acted like in the time of the mafia. Kamenov was also charged in absentia by the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office as a guarantor of the murder of Lyubomir Ivanov, a former employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who was shot dead in Sofia in early 2022.

At the same time, the court accused Krasimir Kamenov of being part of a conspiracy, with the participation of other criminals, as well as indicting Tsvetan Vasilev, in an action to discredit high-ranking magistrates and police officers.

According to BNT sources, the connection of Karo with three other murders, of VIS head Meto Ilienski and the “Vizantiyski Brothers” – Radoslav and Nikolay Bikovi – is also being investigated.

Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev commented on the news of Krasimir Kamenov’s murder, saying that “we are returning to the times of the mafia”. Also, Gheshev will appear in the National Assembly for the meeting of the legal commission, where the investigation mechanism of the chief prosecutor will be discussed in the second reading.
