A 49-year-old man who was participating in a table tennis competition in the town of Brazi, Prahova county, died on Sunday. The man was hurt and a first aid crew was called. Despite the resuscitation maneuvers performed by the ambulance rescuers, the man died.

According to the Prahova County Police Inspectorate, the police officers from the Cocorăștii Colţ Rural Section were alerted, around 4:00 p.m., to the fact that, during a sports competition that took place in Brazi commune, a man was hurt. He was participating in a table tennis competition for amateurs.

“Based on the notification, the police went to the spot, finding that the reported aspects are confirmed, the case being about a 49-year-old man from Brăila county. Following the resuscitation maneuvers applied by the medical crew that arrived at the scene, the death of the man in question was declared”, says the quoted source.
Investigations are being continued by the police within a criminal case for manslaughter. According to sources cited by the Prahovean Observatory, the man was suffering from heart conditions.
