At the end of March, Samsung Romania held an official event, during which they presented the newest midrange phones. It’s about the Samsung Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55. The latter has already received a dedicated hands on and an article, from which you learned how to tell which is the Galaxy A35 and which is the A55. Now we focus on impressions of the cheaper version, the Samsung Galaxy A35.

Samsung Galaxy A35 it comes with an Exynos processor this time. Where the A34 had a Dimensity 1080, now we get an Exynos 1380, i.e. the same CPU from the Samsung Galaxy A54. When I tested the Galaxy A54, I only had 14% throttling after 15 minutes of running a dedicated test. When gaming, I didn’t exceed 34 degrees Celsius, so I don’t understand where its negative reputation comes from, from what I read in the readers’ comments.

It is rather fear that “agate” in the coming years, rather. If you look over the A35’s features, you also notice that it retains its welcome attributes in the midrange area, that the microSD slot, the stereo speakers, the IP67 certification, the AMOLED screen at 120 Hz or the large battery, 5000mAh. The 48 MP camera on the A34 is replaced by a 50 megapixel one with optical stabilization.

We even have a hint of AI here, with some stylish features Galaxy AI, for example at the level of photo remastering, removing shadows or unwanted objects. Unfortunately, the lack of a charger remains a shortcoming. I’m happy to see Android 14 on board, alongside One UI 6.1. And a jump on the side of night capture, with Nightography, but also advanced Bokeh photo processing and digitally assisted video stabilization.

We’ll be back with a review! No, I didn’t forget: the frame is made of plastic, but the back is now made of glass, not plastic like the A34.
