In the 26th minute, referee Andrei Chivulete decided to stop the match due to xenophobic chants. The center sent the players to the booths for 10 minutes, with the game to be resumed only if the spectators stop chanting.

After the 10-minute break, the game resumed, but the fans continued with their reprehensible chants. Just a few tens of seconds after the restart, Andrei Chivulete decided to suspend the game for good.

The case will go to the Commissions, where a verdict will be given. Very likely, Sepsi will get the victory at the “green table”.

However, it is not the first time that the Sepsi people remember the xenophobic chants made against the club, at League 1 matches.

Last year, Ana Maria Popa, the director of the “Andrei Mureșanu” Theater in Sfântu Gheorghe, published a harsh message on social networks. She demands the maximum and fastest possible sanction of the members of the Petrol gallery, for their behavior during the match with Sepsi.

“I publicly request the urgent sanctioning of the Petrolul Ploiești gallery and club with a maximum fine and clear long-term consequences, according to article 54 of the FRF regulation!!!

What I was given to hear in the stadium is inadmissible. I want to mention that Sepsi OSK team supporters are peaceful, calm, civilized people who go to the stadium with family and children most of the time. As a mother, concerned citizen and Sepsi OSK supporter, I WILL NOT ALLOW myself to feel humiliated or offended when I want to support my team.

Dear officials, dear Federation, is this how we want to raise our children? Is this the example we want to set? I say NO, I say STOP and demand that drastic and urgent measures be taken!
