“Recalculation decisions will reach pensioners.

Our estimates regarding the timing are that they will actually start reaching pensioners starting at the end of May, mainly in the months of June-August, that is, before September.

September is the second moment of the pension increase. The first was January 1, when we had the 13.8% increase, that is, an increase in the pension point from 1,785 lei to 2032.

The second important moment is September, when Romanians will receive their recalculated pensions and more than 3 million Romanians will benefit from higher pensions, according to the estimates of our colleagues from the Pension House.

Regarding the certificates that must also be submitted, our colleagues from the National Public Pension House say that a significant part of the pensioners already have these documents in the system and they have already been digitized as part of the file reevaluation process project”, said the Minister of Labor, Simona Bucura Oprescu, on Sunday, on Antena 3 CNN.

“There are over 1.2 million Romanians in the minimum social allowance.

In this area we have both Romanians who have worked the minimum contribution period of 15 years, but also Romanians who have worked perhaps 35 years or over 35 years on the minimum wage in the economy or Romanians who entered this area of ​​the minimum social allowance from due to an accident at work and currently have a disability pension.

In the case of these Romanians, those who have worked for over 35 years with the minimum income in the economy, will have a significant increase in their pensions.

The simulations made by the National Pension House indicated that with income as a reference, the minimum social allowance from 2023, with how much the pensioner will receive in September 2024, we will have increases of 80% of these incomes.

In money, it means less than 1,000 lei. Those simulations indicated a difference from 1,125 lei to 1,960 lei approximately.

It is important for every pensioner to know that absolutely all contributory income will be taken into account under the new law, that we reward work and education, and that if you have worked for more than 25 years you will benefit from stability points.
