The UN has established that November 19 is the World Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Traffic Accidents. On this occasion, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu made several important announcements.
Through a post on his personal Facebook page, the Prime Minister of Romania encouraged Romanian drivers to respect the law and not to drive drunk or drugged. Only in this way will we end up reducing the number of people who lose their lives or are injured as a result of road accidents. As a reference, our country is by far the first in Europe when it comes to people losing their lives on the streets of their homeland.

An alarm signal for Romanian drivers
On the occasion of the international day to commemorate the victims of traffic accidents, Marcel Ciolacu asked Romanians not to get behind the wheel if they have consumed alcoholic beverages or any type of narcotics. In the opinion of the head of the executive, this performance cannot be achieved only through tougher laws or higher fines, but especially through preventive practices and information at the national level.
“I support this year’s theme of the World Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Traffic Accidents, which is to involve each of us, as authorities or traffic participants, in a joint effort to prevent the loss of life on the roads .

The Anastasia Law, again on the list of legislative projects
If the idea is foreign to you, it’s worth bearing in mind that the Anastasia Act is intended to significantly increase prison sentences for drivers who cause accidents with victims after drinking or using drugs.
“I invite you tomorrow (Monday, November 20 – no), starting at 3:00 p.m. to watch the debate” LegeaAnastasia . The road to life”. Together – state, private environment, NGOs, citizens – promoting the messages of the Anastasia Law, we will manage to save the lives of our loved ones!
DON’T get behind the wheel if you don’t have a permit, if you’ve been drinking or if you’ve taken drugs!
Choose life!”, the prime minister said
