The match between ACS Sepsi OSK Sfântu Gheorghe and FC U 1948 Craiova, from the 23rd stage of the 1st Football League, was permanently suspended due to chanting by the supporters of the two teams.
The Oltenians demarcate themselves from the actions of the fans
In min. 26, the referee Andrei Chivulete sent the two teams to the locker room in the first instance because of the xenophobic and racist chants of the galleries of the two formations.
After a ten-minute break, the players returned to the field and the game was resumed, but the referee permanently suspended the match after only a few tens of seconds, due to the new chants of the supporters.
“Our club has no involvement in the organization of this match. We have not requested supporter tickets for this. Therefore, we cannot be held responsible in any way for the fan demonstrations during this football match. Our club did not organize the travel of the supporters to the match at Sfântu Gheorghe“, it is stated in the statement of the team from Bănie.
“Our team is absolved of any blame“
“The Sepsi OSK team has assumed the access of all fans to this stadium and is therefore the only entity responsible for compliance with the law and regulations during the match.
Any other interpretation is against the law and cannot be violated by any member of any commission in a civilized country. In conclusion, we believe that our team is absolved of any blame regarding the organization of this football match“, emphasized the club from Craiova.
On the other hand, the Sepsi OSK club reacted in the same social network: “A correct decision: the referee Andrei Chivulete stopped the match due to xenophobic chants by the supporters of the visiting team“.
