The firefighters from Bihor became national vice-champions at the final stage of the Professional Services Competitions for Emergency Situations, informs ISU Bihor.
The competition, in which a total of 12 military firefighting teams from all over the country participated, took place between September 21 and 23, in Sibiu.
The team from Bihor – coordinated by the sports instructor Lieutenant Flore Mihai, with the commander of the Marghita Fire Department, Lieutenant-Colonel Sfechiş Vasile, as the team leader, and Platoon Adjutant Lazoc Dănuţ as the coach – had to pass four tests.
“The competitors demonstrated their mental strength and team spirit, their skill and specific skills, in the four specific tests: Window ladder, 100 m obstacle course, 4×100 m relay and Making the motor pump intervention device”, it is stated in – a statement sent on Friday by the press office of the Crisana Bihor Emergency Situations Inspectorate.
In the end, the Bihor firefighters ranked second, while the first position was awarded to the ISU Bacău team, and the third place to the ISU Sibiu team.
At the same time, in the individual, platoon leader Mălăieş Adrian (photo below), from the Oradea Fire Department 2, won the gold medal in the “100-meter obstacle course” event.
