September 23, 2022, 12:06PM GMT+0200

The courier company DHL Express will increase the tariffs applied in Romania by an average of 11.9% starting from January 1, 2023. The funds thus collected will be invested, among other things, in infrastructure, technology and ecological fuel for airplanes and electric cars.

“The annual adjustment of tariffs allows us to invest in infrastructure and technology, to ensure resistant, sustainable and best quality solutions for our partners”, said Agnieszka Blas, country manager of DHL Express Romania.

The company is part of the Deutsche Post DHL Group, which last year had revenues of 81 billion euros.

The rate adjustment will also apply to certain optional services and additional costs.

The DHL Group has approximately 380,000 employees in 220 countries. The rate increase percentage varies from country to country, depending on local conditions, and will apply to all customers whose existing contracts allow for this adjustment.

“Investments include state-of-the-art aircraft and vehicles, expansion of operational headquarters to meet growing customer volumes, and green solutions such as sustainable aircraft fuel and electric vehicles,” Blas added.
