BUCHAREST. UTA U17 went to fight, today, for the qualification in the final of the Elite League on the field of FCSB, after it was 2-2 in Arad.

And the first half was a story. UTA missed twice, at the beginning of the game, after which – in min. 3 – opened the scoring. Țaroi crossed from the left, and Dragoș scored from the center of the box: 0-1. The UTA player got injured and was replaced midway through the half. Arădeni took a slight step back, FCSB missed three times, through Luca Ilie, Toma and Colibășanu, but it was still 1-1, Luca Ilie’s goal from the center of the big box. UTA took control of the game again, and M. Rusu and Huc brought the score to 1-3, after well-worked phases by the students of Petcuț and Bogoșel. It was an almost unreal score, which could not be kept until the break, because Andronic reduced the handicap (min. 41), after which Calotă missed incredibly, from the corner of the small box.

The second half was a nightmare for the Utis, who conceded four goals and scored only one. Something happened at half-time as the hosts played well on the counter-attack after a couple of inexplicably lost balls in the neutral part of the pitch. The people of Arad rushed, they hurried, they probably wanted to humiliate the FCSB, but everything turned against them. Colibășanu, Andronic, Luca Ilie and Laszlo scored goal after goal, on some school counter-attacks, but started by some inexplicable errors of the young Utis.

Five minutes before the end, in a phase that did not say much, Baba was pushed into the FCSB box, and the referee Porumbel dictated a penalty. The Russian captain scored from the spot with VAR, but it was too late, as the score was 6-4!

UTA had the following in the field: Roșu – Felea, Indreica, Groza (Marinescu), Ștef – Popa Leca (Ilie), Șiclovan, Rusu, Ţaroi, Dragoș (Calotă, Nițu) – Huc (Baba).
