Zahanaua, as mentioned for the first time in the “Geographical Dictionary of Prahova County” from 1893, is truly a refuge for those who want to enjoy the fresh air.
Its name derives from the word “zalhana”, which means restaurant, and in its past, the village was called Zalhana, being later changed to Zahanaua. Here, the Leaotu River makes its way, maintaining the charm of the place.
