Settlement and unfinished works, but also ornamental trees that dried up after they were purchased by Scoarța town hall. In a recent report of the Court of Accounts, these irregularities are pointed out, which impoverished the commune’s budget, which is already too small.

As part of the “Modernization of roads in Scoarța commune” project, the construction of roads, sidewalks and a roundabout at the intersection with the village of Budieni, where it was erroneously proposed to modernize an area of the roadway of 2,664 square meters, in reality being an area of 1,856 sq m. In this way, unfinished works in the amount of 6,403.96 lei and accessories of 1,216.76 lei were settled.

Problems were also discovered by the inspectors of the Court of Accounts with the landscaping around the Scoarța Cultural Home, where on paper there were more trees than on site. In the project, 26 pieces of thuja worth 1091.46 lei, while 24 pieces were missing in the field, considered by the authorities to be “dry”, whose value reaches 1007.50 lei.

The representatives of the Court of Accounts considered that, since the work is under warranty, the Scoarța authorities had to impose on the builder to remedy the situation.

For the two irregularities, the inspectors from the Court of Accounts gave a deadline of September 30 for the damages to be recovered, or for the situation to be rectified.
