FOOTBALL. In the second echelon of women’s football, SC Oțelul played at home with Juniorul Bucharest, in the 6th leg of the return leg. They beat the players from Bucharest with a score of 3-0 (1-0).
The next match – Friday, May 3, away, at Fair Play Bucharest. In today’s standings, Galaţi have 31 points, with which they occupy the third place in the standings.
RUGBY. The derby match of Moldova, counting for the National Division, between Poli Iași and CSM Galați, ended with the success of the Iași side: score 27-21. Scorers of the 21 points: Dorogan, Ștefan and Ungureanu – one attempt each, and Onofrei – two penalty kicks. The students of Marius Secuianu and Eugen Popa will play at home, on May 11, against RC Bârlad.

CHESS. Last week’s competition, in Bârlad, came in support of the juniors who are waiting for the matches in the National Championship. This week, at Eforie Nord, will be this championship in which CSM Galați will participate with 14 juniors, accompanied by the coaches – Grandmaster Marius Manolache and Lucian Jugaru.
