The Gaudeamus Radio Romania book fair in Cluj closes its doors this evening. Until then, visitors are awaited with discounts, promotions and offers, and of course with volume launches and autograph sessions – as reported by Radio Romania Cluj, Doina Borgovan.

The warm spring weather turned Union Square into a huge living room with people coming to read and buy books.

And the Gaudeamus music stands are very popular.

We asked some of the traders what music the audience prefers.

-: We have a few thousand vinyls, a lot of old Romanian music and a lot of rock, pop.

What are people usually looking for?

-: Almost all genres are targeted, including classical music, but let’s say, broadly speaking, rock with all its subgenres.

And the vinyls are looking for?

-: More than CDs.

-: What was good, kind of sold out. Now we are waiting for some import to come to us from beyond, so that we can supplement it from sales.

What are people looking for?

-: Rock.

Most?

-: Yes.

On what support? On CDs?

-: On CDs. And classic part of them, pop another part of them and relax very little.

The next stop of the Gaudeamus Radio Romania Book Fair will be in Oradea, between May 15 and 19, in Piața Unirii.
