Romania has no money to send its athletes to the Olympics. Even the Government recognizes it.

The government approved an ordinance asking the Romanian Lottery to launch a special lottery ticket, and the money obtained from its sale to finance the Romanian delegation.

The Romanian Lottery will launch the “Team Romania” lottery ticket to be with the Romanian athletes who achieved performances and represent Romania at the XXXIII edition of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the company informs, through a press release.

Thus, one million raffle tickets will be issued, with attractive prizes, and 30% of the value of the sold raffle tickets will be allocated to the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee to support the Olympic Team.

The price of a “Team Romania” ticket will be 5 lei.

“The Romanian Lottery was established in 1906 and aims to create the necessary funds to finance the objectives of national public interest. Romanian sports, both mass and performance, have always benefited from the support of the Romanian Lottery”, the press release states, according to antena3.ro
