Three people, including a child, were injured in a road accident caused by a drunk driver, on the night of Saturday to Sunday, informed the County Police Inspectorate (IPJ) Neamţ.
“Following the investigations carried out by the police, it emerged that, while a 31-year-old man was driving a car from the direction of Cârligi towards Bodeşti, he allegedly lost control over the direction of travel, leaving the roadway and driving the car into a fence. As a result of the road incident, the driver and two other people, aged 5 and 29 respectively, passengers in the same car, were injured,” said IPJ Neamţ spokesperson, inspector Ramona Ciofu.
According to ISU Neamţ, the victims were taken by SMURD crews and from the County Ambulance Service, being transported to the Piatra-Neamţ Emergency Reception Unit.
The driver was tested with the breathalyzer, the result indicating a concentration of 0.77 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air.
Biological samples were collected from him to determine his blood alcohol level.
