Termoenergetica announces that due to a breakdown on the I South Highway (diameter of 800mm), in the area of Vulcanei and Torrentului streets, the supply of hot water to approximately 100 blocks will be suspended until May 1st at 11:30 p.m.
In addition, the following areas are underfed: Colentina, Fundeni, Teiul Doamnei, Lacul Tei, Doamna Ghica, Petricani, Opanez, Obor, Mihai Bravu and Ștefan cel Mare.
The technical closing, emptying, and venting maneuvers have begun as an emergency, and the welds to carry out the repair are to be made.
The I South highway is 40 years old, and in addition to the repair work that was carried out last year, through which a 150-meter section of pipe was replaced, punctual interventions are required, with the purpose of ensuring the operation of the heating system until the completion of the design stage of the work intended to replace a section of approximately 3 kilometers of pipeline.
The dispatchers of the Bucharest Municipal Thermal Energy Company and the intervention teams work permanently to solve the problems that have arisen.
The thermal points will be put back into operation as field interventions are completed.
