Seven garbage bears were relocated to Gorj from Sinaia, USR deputy Radu Miruţă learned. The agreement was also given by the administrator of a hunting fund, in 2022.
The parliamentarian was interested in how the bears were brought to the county, which began to enter the households of people in the northern area of the county.
“I keep hearing about bears attacking people in the Northern area of Gorj: in Rânca, in Baia de Fier, in Polovragi, in Crasna. The answer came: they brought them here. I grew up there, this situation did not exist and suddenly appeared. A bear that would enter the house, drink the oil holding the bottle like a man, eat the jam from the jar, as it was in Rânca, I had only read in books at night when I put my little boy to sleep. Well, I say, something must have happened and I used the parliamentary tool to find out. The answer came: 7 bears from Sinaia were brought to Polovragi, as a measure to combat attacks in the Prahova area. I mean, the 7 bears trained with the people in Sinaia generated problems there, and the measure was to bring them to Gorj, to generate problems here as well. With whose consent is the question. With that of the administrator of hunting fund no. 69, Olteţ, from 2022,” says Miruţă.
The parliamentarian states that the authorities in Gorj have the solution to euthanize these bears, which enter people’s households and kill their animals.
“What can we, the deceived, do? Well, in addition to no longer being a hood of cocci, the law says that “extraction by euthanasia or shooting”. So, dear authorities from Gorj: after you have been tricked into accepting domesticated bears here, instead of complaining in the newspapers, apply the law and eliminate such specimens that cause obvious damage” says Miruţă.
