In September 2024, it will be five years since the “Mihai Eminescu” Park was reopened after modernization, but the artesian fountain in the vicinity of the poet’s statue needs designers. The city hall of Galati has launched a procurement for design services – the technical expertise and geotechnical study phase. The estimated value of the contract is 30,000 lei without VAT, the award criterion being “the lowest price”. Offers are due by April 4, 2024.
In the specifications of the public procurement, it is only stated that it is about the old artesian well. We found out that it is about the well in the vicinity of the poet’s monument and that the problems would be in the network area and not only. This is precisely why technical expertise and a geotechnical study are needed. The assignment of designers must not exceed 60 days.
It would not be bad if the experts that the City Hall will find take a look at the new well, made as part of the modernization works, because in recent years the jet of the artesian has become smaller and weaker…
