In case of military threats, Romania is under the umbrella of NATO, but for the Republic of Moldova the situation is complicated, because there is only the neutrality written in the Constitution on which Russia insists, although it is also the first country to violate it because it illegally maintains its troops in the Transnistrian region. The finding was made by Sandu-Valentin Mateiu, Romanian reserve commander and political-military analyst.

“If we go to the Republic of Moldova, the situation is complicated in the sense that, while we (Romania – no) are under this NATO umbrella, you only have the neutrality written in the Constitution, which Russia insists on, but in fact it is the first to violates it, since we have those troops stationed illegally in Transnistria, on the territory of the Republic of Moldova. I think that beyond all the actions of the institutions of the Republic of Moldova, which must watch over the sovereignty and tranquility of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, a common vision is generally needed. Because this common vision must, regardless of everyone’s identity, give that result that says, we have a country and in this country we decide, not someone else,” said Sandu-Valentin Mateiu on Moldova 1.

The expert added that the war started by the Russian Federation is an existential one for Ukraine, and the West will mobilize to help Kiev.

“Ukraine is right: a state and a nation have the right to exist. No other leader has the right to erase her from the map, denying her existence. We know that the entire European security hangs in the balance, there in Ukraine. If Ukraine is under Russian control, it’s our turn.

And the Europeans mobilized harder, because we have money, the West has money because it works and the man is rewarded for his work. Harder with reality, in the sense that the Western defense industry is having a hard time transitioning to war production. And we also know that if beyond these two things, the existence of Ukraine and our European security is based on the rules, the ones that are written in the UN Charter. More wars will start, there will be all kinds of disgruntled dictators who will think they can solve things by force. The golden rule in Europe was borders do not change using force and for this rule the West will mobilize”, Sandu-Valentin Mateiu also declared.
