Two Siberians caught drunk in traffic. One on DN1, another on DN14

Two Sibiu tried to trick the traffic police by driving under the influence of alcohol. Fortunately, the two were stopped in traffic in time before an accident or other unpleasant road event occurred. A 26-year-old man and a 58-year-old man were charged with a criminal case after they were caught in traffic driving under the influence of alcohol.

“On April 1 this year, at around 11:30 a.m., in the locality of Cristian, traffic police officers from the Săliște City Police stopped for control a car driven on DN 1 by a 26-year-old man from Turnu Roșu.

The breathalyzer test of the driver indicated a result of 0.49 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air, the man was accompanied to a medical unit where biological samples were collected in order to determine the alcohol level in the blood.

On April 2 this year, around 5:30 a.m., in the town of Șura Mare, the police officers of the Sibiu National and European Roads Bureau stopped for control a car driven on DN 14 by a 58-year-old man from Șeica Mare.

The breathalyzer test of the driver indicated a result of 0.45 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air, the man was accompanied to a medical unit where biological samples were collected in order to determine the alcohol level in the blood.” said Elena Walter, spokeswoman for the Sibiu Police.

In both cases, a criminal investigation file was opened under the aspect committing the offense of driving under the influence of alcohol.
