More and more dangerous foods are discovered on the Romanian market. In Bucharest and Vrancea, several batches of chicken meat with salmonella were withdrawn from several stores.
Following some checks carried out by ANPC inspectors, it was established that the food we consume is extremely dangerous. Specifically, dozens of substances were found in imported tomatoes.
In the tomatoes from Turkey, laboratory results showed that they contain 19 dangerous substances, and those from Italy were found to contain 13 such substances.
Since these are the same substances, laboratory specialists claim that the tomatoes from Italy are, in fact, from Turkey.
The tested tomatoes were bought from the market and from the supermarket in different parts of the country.
Moreover, the strawberries from Greece were also withdrawn from the market by the Romanian veterinary health inspectors, after the laboratory results showed that they contained caranjin, a pesticide not approved in the European Union, according to information published in the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (SRAAF).
On March 26, the authorities in Bucharest notified the health authorities in Greece and also decided to withdraw the respective batch of strawberries from sale.
According to the health authorities, the strawberries in question could endanger the health of consumers.
Last but not least, ANPC inspectors discovered several chicken meat products contaminated with Salmonella, in stores in Vrancea, Ilfov and Bucharest.
The products in question have been withdrawn from the market.
