A driver was detained by the police, last night, in the Malu Roșu district of Ploiești, after he was pulled over for a routine check.

A crew of the Ploiești Road Bureau stopped a BMW car with Bucharest license plates for control.

At the wheel was a 45-year-old man, who was tested with the breathalyzer, the result being 0.78mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air.

The driver was also tested with the DrugTest device, the result being positive Opiates, which is why he was transported to the county hospital in Ploiești where biological samples were taken to determine his blood alcohol level and the presence of psychoactive substances.

Following checks in the database, it emerged that the driver has a suspended driving license, so he was detained by the police.
