Recent data provided by real estate platform Storia, launched by OLX, shows a significant increase in apartment prices in various cities of the country. Brașov remains at the top of the ranking, registering an 18% increase compared to last year, while Sibiu follows closely with a 16% increase.
Instead, the cities of Constanța and Timișoara recorded the smallest increases, of only 8%, for new and old apartments. On the other hand, in Bucharest, prices increased by 13% compared to the previous year, Mediafax cites.
In March this year, the prices of apartments for sale saw an average increase of 11% compared to the same period in 2023. The price per square meter for new apartments increased by 13%, while for old ones there was an increase average of 9%.
The lifetime of listings for sale on the site has also fallen significantly, down 41% year-on-year and 29% from February 2024, reflecting increased interest and faster property trading.
Răzvan Ceapa, Head of Operations Storia & OLX Imobiliare, emphasized this trend of increasing interest in apartments for sale, with an increase of 56%, thus surpassing the interest in houses for sale (+32%).
Regarding the price differences between new and old apartments, the city of Cluj-Napoca registers the smallest difference, under 1%, while Brașov has the largest difference, at 9%.
Thus, the analysis indicates a general trend of price growth in all the analyzed cities, reflecting a strong dynamic on the real estate market in Romania.
