The underground parking lot is set up around the Orthodox Cathedral and has recently entered the payment system. The parking fee is 3 lei per hour or 30 lei for a whole day. The price of a subscription is 160 lei.

“The underground parking has 225 places for cars and 31 places for motorcycles. Another 6 places are intended for charging electric cars and 9 places for the vehicles of people with disabilities, the latter being located in the vicinity of the access areas, payment machines and elevators”, reports the Oradea City Hall.

Free parking spaces are electronically signaled with a green display, and occupied ones with a red display. The parking lot can be used by small, medium and large class cars, up to 5 m in length, with gasoline, diesel, electric and hybrid engines, with a strict ban on LPG-based cars.

The parking lot is served by three lifts for people, located to the east near the bridge connecting the Citadel, to the west near the entrance to the Cathedral, and to the north towards the CEC bank headquarters. Access is from two directions, located at the two ends of the building, easily accessible from the Cetățiu Moat, and has a counter with operation in the pedestrian entrance/exit area. The car park is equipped with an access control system (barriers, license plate readers), payment machines and a cleaning and vacuuming station on the premises.

This is the seventh parking lot built off the road in Oradea from 2014 until now. With its completion, the number of places in underground or above-ground parking lots in Oradea exceeded 2,200.
